About DSR

Dan Snyder grew up in the Buffalo, New York area and began his racing
career in go-karts at the young age of 12. Dan and his brother Tim
formed Snyder Brothers Racing and raced up and down the east coast with
the support of his family.
His desire to pursue racing as a
career led him to North Carolina in 1999 when he landed a job with the
Van Wingerden family and their fleet of Metrolina Greenhouse INEX
Legends Cars and Thunder Roadsters.
Snyder worked the next 7
seasons for the Van Wingerden family while also putting his driving
skills to use as an occasional test driver for the team. During that
time span, Dan Snyder and the Van Wingerden's won 10 different
championships in INEX Legends Cars and Thunder Roadsters.
After
tasting success with the Van Wingerden's, Snyder quietly ventured out
on his own and formed Dan Snyder Racing in 2006. In that first season
with drivers Thomas Hartensveld and Steven Daniels, Snyder immediately
put his name on the INEX Legends Car map by winning 18 out of 35 races
with his driver, Thomas Hartensveld.
The following year,
Hartensveld justified his performance from the previous year with
another 10 wins, while Christian Pahud added 15 wins to Snyder's resume
for the 2007 season.
The 2008 season brought three new drivers
to the Dan Snyder Racing stable, but the winning tradition continued
while one driver began to blaze a trail into the INEX Legends Cars
record books. Chad Hackenbracht and Hoyt Demis combined for 37 wins,
nearly splitting them in half between the two of them and Hackenbracht
gave Snyder his first win at nationals in Elko, Minnesota while
competing in the Semi-Pro Division. But Snyder's first taste of
national success came in the hands of young hot shoe Daniel Hemric, who
won 34 races and the Pro Division National points championship in 2008.
Hemric
instantly became a household name in Legends Cars thanks to Snyder's
talents and proceeded to win an amazing 53 races in 2009 including the
INEX National Points title, the Summer Shootout championship at
Charlotte Motor Speedway, the "Legendstock" event at Bethel Motor
Speedway and the Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium.
In addition to
Hemric's success, Harrison Rhodes visited victory lane 33 times in the
Young Lions Division and won the "Race of Champions" at Nationals in
Lanier. Jeff Bolen won 7 races and the Semi-Pro Division championship
at the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway while Hoyt Demis won
an additional 25 races and tied Masters Division National Points
champion Clay Hair at the end of the 2009 season.
Speaking of
the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway, DSR cars won an
incredible 18 out of 45 races during the summer of 2009. Finally,
during the 2009 season, Dan Snyder Racing had a driver leading the INEX
National Point standings in all four divisions of Legends Car racing
heading into the final points paying event at Lanier.
Since branching out on his own in 2006, Dan Snyder has led his drivers to over 400 feature event wins.
Dan resides in Mooresville with his boxer Hailey.
