Concord, NC - After three days of racing, two pouring rain storms and over 300 cars, Kannapolis, North Carolina's Daniel Hemric and Dan Snyder Racing came out on top with a $250,000 dollar payday to win the Legends Million at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Hemric stalked race leader Doug Stevens, who had the fastest car of the weekend and dove to Stevens’ inside as they raced off turn two with ten laps to go and slowly pulled away to win by nearly a half straightaway at the checkered flag.

"I can't thank everyone enough for all their hard work this weekend" commented Dan Snyder. "I know it sounds cliché, but I don't think anyone worked harder than us all weekend to get Daniel in contention to win. We were a little bit off in practice and qualifying, but getting the pole in his heat race might have been the break we needed just to get in the race."

Daniel timed in 28th fastest during practice and only gained three spots during group qualifying to end up with the 25th fastest qualifying time. "We kind of went back to a conventional setup that worked last year during the Summer Shootout here at Charlotte,” explained Snyder. "Then when we ran the practice for the A feature cars on Saturday morning, we were second fastest to Doug. That was our first clue that we were finally onto something,” he added.

Hemric's Racing Electronics/Sum+Seeds #21 was only one of two DSR cars to make the A feature for the Legends Million, with Harrison Rhodes racing his way in after winning one of the two B features in his Chick-Fil-A sponsored #36.

Former DSR drivers Christian PaHud, Chad Hackenbracht and Michael Van Wingerden all struggled during their qualifying heat races with heavy rains to miss the show. PaHud came the closest, after spinning across the slippery start-finish line in the pouring rain to finish third and missing the A feature by just one position.

DSR also had two European drivers entered in the Legends Million with Bert De Heus and Cees Visser traveling from the Netherlands to compete in their very first oval race. "Again, it was a total team effort and I'd like to thank Jeff Bolen and Hoyt Demis for supplying cars for Bert and Cees" added Snyder. "I think they did a great job all weekend, but not having enough time to adapt to this type of oval racing might have hindered their effort a little bit" he added.

"I'd like to thank everyone who helped us win tonight,” commented Dan Synder. "Everyone from Bruce Silver at Racing Electronics, Hoyt Demis and Demis Paint Company, Goodridge brake and fuel lines, Jeff Jordan at RPM Pro-formance, Curt Andrews at Andrews Motorsports, the engine department at U.S. Legends Cars International, Hank Scott Racing and Federal Tires for making a great new racing tire for our cars and of course, Daniel Hemric."
